FAQs

What can I expect in a therapy session?

Each session is a space where you’re invited to slow down, reflect, and feel seen without judgment. We’ll start by exploring what brought you to therapy and collaborate on your goals. Whether you need a place to process trauma, navigate parenting stress, or reconnect with yourself, sessions are always led at a pace that feels safe for you.

What is your approach to therapy?

I use a trauma-informed, relational approach rooted in EMDR, CBT, DBT, and somatic practices. I also specialize in working with mothers of neurodivergent or special needs children. My goal is to create a calm, affirming space where your experiences are honored and your healing can unfold gently and intentionally.

How long is each session, and how often will we meet?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency, though we can adjust based on your needs and goals.

Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?

I currently offer virtual sessions to clients across Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, and Texas. Many of my clients appreciate the flexibility and comfort of accessing therapy from their home, especially busy moms and caregivers.

What are your rates?

My standard rate is $175.00 per 50-minute session. I do offer limited sliding scale slots based on financial need—please feel free to ask during your consultation.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes—I currently accept UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Aetna (via the Optum or Evernorth networks, depending on your plan). If you have coverage through one of these providers, I’m happy to verify your benefits and submit claims on your behalf.

If you are with a different insurance company, I can provide a superbill for you to submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions about using your insurance or benefits.

Is what I share in therapy confidential?

Yes—confidentiality is a core part of the therapeutic relationship. Everything you share in session is private, with a few legal exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse). These limits will be fully explained in your intake paperwork.

How do I get started?

The first step is to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This is a chance for us to briefly connect, explore your needs, and see if we’re a good fit. From there, we can schedule your first full session.
