Amanda Sapale, LCSW
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
Hey I’m Amanda!
I am a licensed social worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University (2019), and I’m currently pursuing certification in Couples & Sex Therapy. I’m especially passionate about supporting clients exploring alternative relationship structures, including Consensual Non-Monogamy and kink, as well as those navigating challenges around sexual identity or shame.
I don’t believe there’s a single approach that works for everyone, so I tailor therapy to each individual. My practice blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which examines the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help lessen the impact of trauma, anxiety, and distress. I also integrate mindfulness and body-focused approaches to support whole-person healing. I welcome feedback in sessions, ensuring our work together is collaborative and responsive to your needs.
In sessions, I strive to be warm, human, and nonjudgmental. Therapy can feel vulnerable, so I aim to create a space where you feel safe to explore the hard things. My role isn’t to give advice, but to listen, reflect, and support you in building skills to live a more fulfilling life, including healthier relationships with yourself and others.
I see therapy as walking alongside someone on their journey. Sometimes we walk together for a short stretch, other times for longer paths. My goal is always to be a compassionate companion—holding the umbrella in the storms, pausing to enjoy the circus, and helping make the journey a little lighter. Life is unpredictable, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
